The Academic Registrar Uganda Technical College (UTC) Kyema announces vacancies for CERTIFICATE COURSES for the January 2024 intake and DIPLOMA COURSES for the August/September 2024 intake for private sponsorship. The reporting date for certificate students is 11.03.2024 and deadline for admission for certificate Programs is 31.03.2024
COURSES:
Certificate Courses: National Certificate in Building Construction, National Certificate in Electrical Installation Systems & Maintenance, National Certificate in Plumbing, National Certificate in Automotive Mechanics and National Certificate in Welding & Fabrication.
Diploma Courses: National Diploma in Civil Engineering, National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, National Diploma in Water Engineering and National Diploma in Architecture.
MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION:
For National Certificate: The minimum admission requirement is at least pass in English, Physics, Mathematics, and any other science subjects or at-least a pass in the Uganda Junior Technical Certificate.
For National Diploma Program: Senior Six (UACE) and should have obtained at-least a Principle pass in either Physics or Mathematics and any two subsidiary Passes in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Mechanical or Building Geometrical Drawing and Economics or Fine Art for Architecture, obtained at the same sitting or at-least a pass in National Certificate or Advanced Craft Certificate in a relevant field

STUDENTS LOAN SCHEME
The academic registrar further informs the public that the college is one of the selected tertiary institutions to participate in the students’ loan/financing scheme and therefore invites applications from holders of UACE or Advanced craft certificate who wish to pursue national diploma program in engineering for admission but are not able to finance themselves to apply online through the HESFB portal www.hesfb.go.ug or can come to the college for guidance
